Evidence-Based Diastasis Recti Rehabilitation: A Comprehensive Approach from Assessment to Functional Recovery

A comprehensive 3-hour masterclass designed for physiotherapists to develop an evidence-based understanding of Diastasis Recti (DRA). This session explores the detailed anatomy and biomechanics of the abdominal wall, the role of the integrated core system, load and intra-abdominal pressure management, comprehensive assessment, and phase-wise rehabilitation based on current research. Outcomes
  • participants will learn an evidence-based, phase-wise rehabilitation approach incorporating breathing strategies, pressure management, motor control, progressive strengthening, functional retraining, and exercise progression from the early postpartum stage to return to higher-level activities. Current research findings, systematic reviews, and clinical practice recommendations will be integrated throughout the session to support evidence-informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • Participants should have a basic understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and rehabilitation principles.
